FDO(Feature Data Objects).This is the concept developed by Autodesk to read and write spatial/raster formats without converting them from theier native formats.This was introduced in AutoCAD map2007. but with Map 2008 it is fully avaialble.Using FDO we can Access the Oracle Spatial/SQL spatial and many formats very quickly.Impotantly this open source and we can customize this as per our requirment.any more info needed please let us know.Thank You,
